A female Harris's Hawk, named Mabel by the owners of the Santa Clara Preserve, delights photographers as she flies around the preserve. She is about 20 '' tall and has about a three foot wing span. She will feed in the late afternoon near a blind where a beef kidney has been attached to a tree branch. She will alway leave something for her male companion who comes after dark. Mabel has been at the Preserve for about 3 years
